Gargantuan galaxy NGC 1132 — a cosmic fossil?
The elliptical galaxy NGC 1132, seen in this latest image from Hubble, belongs to a category of galaxies called giant ellipticals. The small galaxies surrounding it are dubbed a fossil group.
